Why This Matters
Our democracy depends on fair representation, yet campaign finance currently allows lack of oversight. This undermines public trust and prevents public trust.
We petition City Council to implement ethics rules. Specifically, we demand public disclosure requirements, conflict of interest rules, and enforcement mechanisms.
These reforms have been successfully adopted in cities nationwide. It's time for our district to join them in strengthening democratic accountability.
